Dear friends, Fr La would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year on behalf of the Team here at Lough Derg! Fr La has recorded a video, in the Visitor Centre in front of the new Timeline Maureen and Mary have created this year with great hope that you will have the opportunity to see the Timeline for yourself when you visit us on Pilgrimage or Retreat this Season coming, please God. 

Thank you for your support in 2021. To those of you who have engaged with us online, on the phone, who sent prayer intentions and kept us in your own prayers too, to those of you who sent very kind donations, took part in our Annual Draw, bought from our online shop, and the list goes on… It is very much appreciated, and Fr La will continue to keep your prayer intentions with him for the months ahead. 

We hope to see you this year on Station Island and we have already worked on a draft programme of dates intending that in 2022 we will offer One Day Retreats in May and again in August / September, and that we will be open again for the Three Day Pilgrimage. The pilgrimage walk along the lough shore Pilgrim Path, a new experience of Lough Derg that happily was born out of necessity over these past two seasons, is also here to stay and you will hear forthcoming updates from us on all of this soon… Keep an eye on our website and social platforms for this.

As Fr La says: “The turn of the year is always an opportunity for us to look back, in personal terms, on where the pilgrimage of life brought us in the year that has come to an end, and to recognise how the Lord has been there for us through it all.”
