Special permission has been granted by Bishop Liam MacDaid for visitors to the 50th International Eucharistic Congress to visit the Island during the traditional pilgrimage period-a rare opportunity to view Ireland’s most ancient place of pilgrimage and Sanctuary of Patrick.
Particularly appropriate for international pilgrims to Ireland to spend a short time in this sacred place. Each programme will be arranged around the celebration of Eucharist in St Patrick’s Basilica at 11:00am or 2:00pm depending on the needs of visitors.
Boats at either 10.30am/1.30pm followed by tea and coffee in Davog House, Mass at 11am/2.00pm in the St. Patrick’s Basilica followed by an opportunity to explore the Island for an hour before departure at 12:30/3.30pm
All visitors will be asked to not use cameras while on the Island and to respect those pilgrims who will be undertaking the traditional three day pilgrimage. Ideal for tour groups/international visitors to Eucharistic Congress Must be pre-booked-minimum of 48 hours in advance

The daily programme for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress from 11th until 16th June 2012 will take place in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS). Statio Orbis, the Liturgy on the final day of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress will be celebrated in Croke Park, Dublin, on Sunday 17th June 2012.
The programme of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress is built around the daily celebration of the Eucharist and and each day has a theme of it's own own, related to the main congress theme The Eucharist: Communion with Christ and with one another
