Day of Friendship and Prayer

Over 300 people joined together in a spirit of friendship and prayer on Lough Derg.
A great sense of camaraderie was enjoyed by Christians from all the main churches, with many being on Lough Derg for the first time.
The morning was beautiful and bright (if only a little nippy), a sign perhaps that such a day is blessed.
Prior Richard Mohan welcomed the guests, whilst Most Reverend Bishop Joseph Duffy introduced the Guest Speaker, Rev Dr Ruth Patterson-whose address inspired all who were there. Please click the following link to read the address:

This was followed by a simple yet sincere Prayer Service in Davog House, led by Fr La Flynn and various members of the congregation.
The day had a fitting conclusion with everyone sitting down together to enjoy a light lunch.
We look forward to hosting similar days throughout the year.
